S4 Episode 9 - Isn’t She Lovely: Living Life After 50
Victoria Flowers is a faith first, one foot forward, wise OWL whoo found her fresh start after death and divorce right here in Knoxville, Tennessee! At the age of 49, Victoria took to the skies (literally) becoming a flight attendant, and (figuratively) as she stepped on stage and let her voice SOAR!
Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Charolette North Carolina, Victoria attended college at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC where she studied Business/Finance and Music. A heart for music and a mind for business, Victoria's dream of being a back-up singer took a backseat for 32 years to build her career in the Mortgage Business.
In 2006 Victoria opened up her own Mortgage Broker office in D.C., employing 8 Loan Officers and 1 Processor. In 2019, everything in Victoria's life change when her father died. Victoria's dad had OWL-ways encouraged her to step outside the box and explore life, sparking her almost overnight decision to become a flight attendant and relocated her business (and life) to Knoxville, Tennessee.
Today Victoria is currently working for New American Funding as a Sr. Loan Office, where she was selected as the TN Mortgage Bankers Future Leader, and is so lovely as the lead singer in The Vertical Birds, a local band in Knoxville.
Isn't Victoria Lovely! Tune in to hear OWL about how to LIVE LIFE after 50 and live your childhood dreams! That's right, Victoria DID become a backup singer, recording with great gospel artists such as the late great Daryl Coley, Tremaine Hawkins, Latrice Pace (The Pace Singers), Bobby Jones, Vashawn Mitchell, Tanya Blount (Sister-Act II) and the Stellar Award Winning Charles Butler, just to name a few.
