Join us for a captivating journey of self-discovery and transformation as we sit down with the Co-Founder of Scenius Consulting, Ann-Mari Freebairn, a seasoned practitioner and guide in the realms of personal growth, mindfulness, and conscious leadership. Thirty years ago Ann-Mari faced a traumatic incident that led her to the brink of burnout and chronic fatigue. Seeking solace and healing, she embarked on a life-altering adventure to a remote forest monastery in Thailand, where she immersed herself in the practice of mindfulness meditation. Over the course of a year, her life underwent a remarkable metamorphosis – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Though her formal Buddhist practice has evolved, the principles of mindfulness have remained a steadfast anchor, shaping her journey forward. Having spent years studying under various Asian teachers, Ann-Mari eventually found herself navigating a career in PR and marketing within the charity sector. As her professional journey continued, she recognized the limitations of traditional top-down leadership and became an advocate for a more collaborative, decentralized approach – a concept eloquently termed "Scenius" by Brian Eno, describing the collective genius that emerges from group collaboration. Six years ago, Ann-Mari made a pivotal decision to forge her own path, transitioning from her role as a Marketing and Communications Director to becoming a dedicated coach and consultant. Fueled by her passion for leadership and team dynamics, she co-founded Scenius Consulting and Coaching, an initiative designed to empower leaders and teams by harnessing the collective brilliance within organizations. With a focus on embracing diversity, igniting creativity, and nurturing holistic growth, Ann-Mari and her team champion the idea that true innovation thrives in inclusive and collaborative environments. If you're seeking to unlock your latent potential, embrace a more conscious approach to leadership, and tap into the power of collective genius, this episode is a must-listen. Join us as we unravel Ann-Mari's incredible journey of healing, growth, and purpose-driven transformation. Erin Rector has been on a journey of self discovery and improvement for many years, and it turns out this entire time she wasn’t alone! Falling into the pattern of losing weight and gaining back for many years, she always felt deep down that something “bigger” was going on. Tired of being made to feel like she wasn’t trying hard enough or doing the right things from her doctors trainers, she refused to give up hope that she would find someone to listen to her. After being introduced to a friend through networking, she decided to try yet another consultation, this time through Novis Health in Knoxville Tennessee. Finally getting answers she had been longing for, it was discovered that she had severe gut issues including e.Coli, a parasite she picked up at 7 years old, and a host of other bacterial problems. Fast forward 6 months later, (fastest they've ever seen!) and Erin has kicked Polly the 32 year old Parasite out for good! Ironically, Erin 'fell' into food safety and has dedicated herself to helping businesses and communities protect their food supply chain for over 15 years. When she isn't facilitating food safety training, she is a dedicated mother and wife living in Knoxville, TN. Tune in to hear OWL about Erin’s journey, her symptoms and chronic issues, and some scary statistics on how many of us are possibly walking around with our own Polly the Parasite!
