Jennifer Fernandez is a childhood cancer surviver, at least she believed she was until the age of 32, when she learned her mother had purposely poisoned her for two years, thinning her hair, and making her vomit and so weak she sometimes couldn't walk. As if that wasn't enough, she also discovered her mother never have cancer, and had poisoned herself as well. After the death of her mother and a large weight gain, Jennifer hired a fitness coach and to help her lose weight and compete in a bodybuilding competition. This journey put her on her path of pursuing her dream of becoming a Certified Empowerment Coach and owner of Infinite Power Coaching. An entrepreneur at heart, beginning with opening a women’s only fitness center, and opening her own cleaning business for 14 years, today, Jennifer works with women who feel defeated by their body image, helping them step into Radical Self Love and reclaim their Infinite Power. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from San Diego Christian College, Erin prepared to follow in her family's footsteps and become a naval officer. Less than a month in, she took a leave to spend time with her boyfriend, a decision that would lead her down a path of derealization, psychosis, and hospitalization. Through the love and support of her family, and Erin's sheer determination to find success through 'failure,' she went back to school to earn her Master’s in Project Management from Grantham University. It was her that Erin began writing her first book, From Failure to Success: How Psychosis Made Me and Did Not Break Me, to aid in her recovery from mental and physical struggles, AND to help others who have fought the same battles. Her book has already inspired me to share my own experience with psychosis for the first time in public. The universe (God) really brought this episode together. Literally, we ended up working an in-person event together a few days before we were scheduled to record the podcast!
